My Birthday Weekend Decorations

Well hello...

Has it been over a month since I last posted?

Yup.

Sorry, homies.

Between Christmas, New Year's, going back to work, and general life happening, blogging has not been the fist thing on my mind!

But, I'm back!

I will be trying to post 3 times a week on the blog, as well as regular posts on my instagram account. Sound good?

Let's talk about something I love

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND.

If y'all personally know me (hi frandz) or have been following me on this blog/my personal insta, then you know that birthday weekend is one of my favorite events of the year. In college, my birthday fell on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, then Sunday each of the four years, and my friends and I ended up making a weekend of it. Then, post-grad, my friends came to NYC for the weekend last year to celebrate, and this year, it happened again.

My actual birthday was last Wednesday, which is boring, and honestly all I did was take a Pure Barre class so #funtimes for me. So, we kicked off the celebrations on Friday night, when I had a pregame party before we went to my favorite bar. The guest list included 50 of my favorite people in Charlotte, and it was amazing.

I live alone, and while I love my normal apartment decor, I went all out for my own personal decorations. Hello Party City!

I will be posting real pictures later this week, but for now, here's a round up of my favorite decorations for a birthday party.

The essentails: cups, straws, and drinks. I got these pink and gold solo cups and mini pink shot glasses at Party City, as well as these Gold Striped Paper Straws. Obviously pink and gold was the theme here. I had a ton of fun cocktail napkins, not that they were even used, but it just added another pink item to my counter.

I made margaritas for everyone, and this Plastic Beverage Dispenser was a lifesaver. Also, surprisingly huge.

Balloons were my favorite part of the decorations - my college nickname was Hanski, so I bought huge gold balloons spelling the name out. Extra? Unbelievably so. I've always wanted to do something with those gold balloons, and this was the perfect opportunity. I also blew up a few  Transparent and Gold Dot Balloons and Bright Pink Balloons to throw around the apartment.

Once a sorority girl, always a sorority girl. This party was ridiculous but fun and I had a blast decorating last Friday!
