The Best Thickening Hair Products

Happy Monday! Seven more days until Christmas! I am so excited. Friday afternoon I hop on a plane to go back to CT for essentially a long weekend (ugh), but it will still be nice to spend a few days at home.

In the meantime, let's talk about hair. I have been craving super thick and full hair lately, since for some reason my hair has been completely lacking any form of volume. My hair feels thinner and less dense, which slightly scares me, so I'm doing all I can to combat any hair or density loss.

I wash my hair ever 2-3 days, and after towel-drying my hair, I use my T3 hair dryer and a round brush to blow dry my hair straight. It's EXTREMELY thicker and more full when I blow dry it with a brush, rather than letting it air dry and proceeding to heat style it. Unfortunately, that fullness only last for like 12 hours - by the next day, it's pretty limp.

I've always prided myself on having lots of thick hair, but I don't know what is happening! I am in desperate need of some haircare advice.

Okay, for the most part I have only read about these products, so I'm going to need y'alls help to determine which ones are worth it. Right now, I'm using the Bumble and bumble Full Potential Booster Spray when my hair is damp. My hairstylist suggested it for me since I'm trying to grow my hair out, and I use so much heat on it daily. I'm still in the beginning stages of using it, so TBD if it's actually working. I do trust Bumble and bumble though, which is why I'm inclined to try their Thickening Line (Shampoo, Conditioner, Spray).

I also take Viviscal pills twice a day - I do feel like my hair is growing faster, rather than thicker. Hm.

I reallyyyy want to try the Kristin Ess Instant Lift Thickening Spray. First off, I'm obsessed with Kristin Ess, and secondly, I've only heard good things about her products. They're the inexpensive equivalent of a high end beauty brand, and happen to only be sold at Target. She has the thickening spray, as well as a mousse, but I'm a little wary of any mousses tbh...I feel like they do have a bad rep, but honestly if it works, I'm all for it.

Other products I've read rave reviews about include the Living Proof Full Thickening CreamPaul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Spray, and R and Co Dallas Thickening Spray. I have yet to try any of these, but please leave a comment below if y'all recommend them!

  1. I've tried the Living Proof thickening cream. I felt like it weighed down my hair and made it feel more limp (?). Lol opposite of its purpose. Pureology has a product called: Clean Volume Instant Levitation Mist. It's been my favorite so far! Good post! I would like to try some of these
