My Cozy Holiday Essentials

I am currently in the process of decorating my apartment for the holiday season, and let me tell you, I'm considering leaving all my Christmas goodies up all year round.

For some reason, twinkle lights and Christmas trees make everything better.

I honestly have negative desire to leave my one-bedroom apartment now, and half of me wishes it was cold and snowy outside so I really don't have to leave! Everything is so cozy and soft and warm, and I've stopped turning on any lamps so I can just use my string lights instead.

Did I mention I love Christmas?

With this increase in holiday spirit, my goal is to be as cozy and comfortable as possible. Think supersoft pajama bottoms, oversize turtleneck sweater, slippers, and a constant stream of Christmas movies.

My last name is Holliday - this is my season. Let's do it right.

So, I've kind of switched up how I do my product carousels below. I have a carousel for each item type, instead of all of them in one big summary. Let me know y'alls thoughts on if I should continue to post things this way!

As far as clothing goes, I'm pretty much happiest when I'm in a pajama set. This is great because it is the time of year to go all out with the super festive plaid matching tops and bottoms. Currently, I have a red pajama set and a tartan flannel set from J. Crew. I had my eye on a bunch of options from Victoria's Secret, but unfortunately they are wiped clean with all their best pajama sets - it's that time of year. I'm really looking for a short sleeve plaid pajama set, but it's harder than it seems to find a cute one. I have been loving the selection at Target lately, however.

Oooh funny story - I found this pair of pajamas at Gap during the whole Black Friday / Cyber Monday frenzy. TOO CUTE, RIGHT? They say Fa La La! And they come with a matching eye mask! I die. Anyway, I sent them to my mother to show how cute they were, and then proceeded to buy them. Turns out my mother bought the same pair! You can never have enough pajama sets. Also, they were originally $70 and I got them for $24! That's insane.

If you want to go down the pajama pant + sweater route, there are some super cute options for turtlenecks and ponchos, all super cozy and super soft. I got this French Connection sweater a couple weeks ago and it's amazing - highly recommend. I also love the Caslon Tunic Sweater available at Nordstrom. For ponchos, Tuckernuck has some really cute ones. I posted about this poncho on my Cyber Monday post, and it comes in both white and black!

Up next, fuzzy slippers. I've been wearing the same Tory Burch slippers for years, and I don't intend on ever giving them up. Let's be real though, UGG really takes the cake with their selection of fuzzy and furry shoes. If you're looking for any less expensive options, check out J. Crew and Target. These slippers from J. Crew are amazing and this Target pair is under $20!

I've been meaning to pick up some hot chocolate so I can fully immerse myself into the holiday season, but for now I make do with some flavored tea in my favorite Kate Spade mugs. For Christmas-y themed drinkwear, Target and Nordstrom all the way. I am obsessed with these pickup truck mugs from Cathy's Concepts, and also this striped Kate Spade-lookalike mug.

Obviously the coziest things in the world are faux-fur throw blankets. Literally, all hail. I have a version from Restoration Hardware and I would carry it around with me everywhere if possible. I looooove it. I found this Faux Fur Throw from Nordstrom too, which comes in a bunch of different colors. In Connecticut, I have a dark brown one, and in Charlotte, it's black. I don't really trust myself with anything light colored, tbh!

Lastly, one of my favorite holiday staples - the Nest Holiday Classic Candle. Guys, this is seriously the best Christmas Tree-scented candle of all time. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, the Spruce candle from Bath & Body Works is amazing. Most nights I'll light both!

What are y'alls go-to cozy holiday essentials? I am really loving this grandma lifestyle of staying in!
