Oh my Lord Go Buy Olaplex Now

If you're as obsessed with haircare as I am, you have at least heard of Olaplex. It is taking the beauty industry by storm, considering it's the only hair product that actually successfully treats damaged hair.

Basically, Olaplex is a three-part system that permanently rebuilds the damaged bonds in your hair that are broken due to chemical treatments and heat styling. The first two parts are done in a salon (when you're getting your hair colored), but the third part is an at-home conditioning treatment that can be bought at places like Walmart and Amazon

The three parts, as described from the Olaplex website, do the following:

1. Bond Multiplier: This concentrated first salon step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process of preventing damage and repairing hair.

2. Bond Perfector: The second salon step continues to rebuild and restore any remaining broken bonds ensuring the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible.

3. Hair Perfector: This final retail step provides client's continuous protection from ongoing damage at home.

Stylists recommend that you use Olaplex 3 once a week as a reparative and preventative step in your hair routine. You can use it for an 30 minutes, an hour, or even overnight if you hair is really damaged. I am a HUGE fan of leaving products and masks on overnight, so this worked out really well for me.

I really didn't notice any kind of scent, which is really good if you're like me and like to wear your hair masks outside of your apartment. Another positive is that it dries really nicely in your hair, so it's honestly not noticeable if you put some on, put your hair in a bun and go about your day. A lot of times, conditioners and masks are very heavy and make your hair look 1. wet or 2. hard. I've actually put some Olaplex on before a workout and washed it out after, and I didn't look too gross to go out in public.

With continuous use, the Olaplex at-home treatment repairs damaged hair, reducing split ends, allowing you to grow your hair longer and stronger with less trips to the salon. It's really great if you color-treat your hair too - I do a half-balyage twice a year, so being blonde isn't too damaging to my strands, but Olaplex really helps me since I heat-style my hair almost every day.

Have y'all ever heard of Olaplex? Use it yourselves? Let me know!
