My Favorite Athleisure Jackets & Hoodies

It was torrential downpouring yesterday, and all I wanted to do was crawl back into bed and catch up on some zzz's. I literally wore this pullover from J. Crew Factory and leggings to work because I was not in any shape or mood to deal with Monday.

For days like yesterday, I do not like to attempt to come up with an actual outfit. I like to be in some form of stretchy pants with some form of equally stretchy jacket. I already posted last week about stylish sneakers, and I feel like athleisure is a definite piggyback off of that subject.

The actual clothes I wear to work out are a pair of Lululemon black shorts and an oversize t-shirt from college. I know I should probably upgrade my athletic wardrobe, but I would rather look like I'm still in college than wear some clingy workout top.

So, my actual clothes that are specifically designed to workout in are used for a different purpose - to fulfill my athleisure outfit needs.

I currently have a Define Jacket from Lululemon in a heathered dark grey, but I'm really looking for one in either black or white...I'm a psychopath who likes her athleisure to match, and a more textured looked grey doesn't really mesh well with my other textured leggings.

I'm really liking the options from Athleta - I've never actually shopped there before, although I have checked out their website quite a few times. There's an Athleta store in the greatest mall in the world (aka the Southpark Mall in Charlotte), so I do have an opportunity to browse around and see how I like their merchandise in person. Right now, I have my eye on the Intention Jacket, as well as the Stronger Hoodie.

I'm not a super big hoodie fan, I must admit. If something is going to be slightly bunched up around my neck, it's going to be a turtleneck.

So, the Haze Sweatshirt from Alo fits the mold.

If you're going for comfort over fashion, the Adidas Trefoil sweatshirt is a classic. It also comes in black, white, and grey, so all of the bases are covered.
