what to wear + holiday parties

So we're going to really jump ahead here and start talking about holiday parties.

I need something to look forward to, right?

Also the moment it became November, I received a million emails about holiday dresses from all my favorite stores, so might as well start early.

I like to consider myself an expert on the holiday season, considering I am Hannah Holliday after all.

(I think my jokes are funny, too).

Anywho, Topshop is really KILLING IT this year and honestly you could be solely dressed by their offerings on Nordstrom. Exhibit A: the gold trousers.

AMAZING.

I would normally say these aren't my style, but I'm in love with them. They're so festive and gold and gotta love the tie-waist (shout out to all my large-ribbed girls out there). Pair with a tight black turtleneck (preferably a bodysuit, so it stays tucked) and heels and you're gucci.

My family is having a Christmas party in December, and I think I've already found my outfit.

But let's talk about more options.

Continuing on with the pants-theme, jumpsuits are literally the perfect year-round outfit. I have always loved this strapless jumpsuit from Nordstrom, and now they make it in green! I also prefer cropped jumpsuits (they look great with heels), so the Bardot jumpsuit above is a great choice.

Okay fun fact my mother and I found matching black and gold tulle skirts at Target and they're honestly adorable even if they were from the kid's section. Never underestimate the power of an XL child's size item. That being said, pull the Carrie Bradshaw look and go for a cami and tulle skirt. So perfect for the holidays.

Of course, I couldn't make a what to wear post without including a choker and pair of over the knee boots.

Am I the only one who's psycho enough to start thinking about holiday party outfits?

Happy Thursday!
