style + turtleneck tuesday

Welcome to the first (of many) Turtleneck Tuesday's. This tradition was started by me and my best friend last year when we came to the realization that turtlenecks are way undervalued...seriously, they're the best and are so stylish.

Today I'm just showing y'all some of my favorite turtleneck options. As someone who has more than too many in my own collection, I have my go-to places to shop for t-necks.

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven

First and foremost, Madewell is bae. My favorite turtlenecks have come from there. I have number two (shown above) in two colors, as well as a lot of styles from last year. They have a lot of nice neutral colors that will go with literally everything. Also, Madewell tends to have them be shorter in the front than the back, which I like.

Second, J. Crew and Abercrombie & Fitch are my runner ups. I have been shopping at J. Crew for over ten years and they (usually) don't disappoint with their basics. They have really nice chunky cableknit turtlenecks that are uber preppy and perfect for the cold weather. Abercrombie is my new obsession, and I actually have option number five shown above. Honestly one of the most comfortable and chic turtlenecks I own. I wore it with leather leggings and booties, which was super fun.

Turtleneck ponchos are the perfect Sunday brunch top. You can wear them with leggings, boots and a top knot and still look great. Anthropologie has a really cute option (number one) and of course Revolve is stocked with a ton of my favorites. Free People is a bit iffy with me, considering their clothes aren't super well made and can be unflattering a lot of the time, but they have a really nice fitted turtleneck (number six). It's a great basic and layering piece that's better for when wearing skirts.
