I think of myself as eating fairly healthy at school, and when I'm back home I eat healthy 90% of the time. As bad as it is, I like to snack. So, I've found a variety of snacks that won't kill your calorie count on My Fitness Pal or make you feel fat and sluggish.


Justin's Vanilla Almond Butter Probably not the best example to start off with, considering I could literally get a spoon and eat the entire thing in one sitting. I love peanut butter, but then I tried almond butter, and then I tried vanilla almond butter. Oh my gosh it's the best. I had it every day for like 6 weeks on an english muffin for breakfast...no shame. It's packed with protein but has a lot of calories in a little amount, so use sparingly!

Dried Pineapple Slices They're so little and so sweet! I like to have something sweet at the end of every meal, and they're the perfect portion controlled amount of sugar ever. The Fresh Market is my favorite place to get them.

Chobani Plain Yogurt Great for breakfast and for snacks! I like to have it before a workout so I don't feel low-energy. Even better when paired with granola and dried fruit.

Skinny Pop I think my coworkers and I have had a bag of Skinny Pop every day since we started work. We have a huge (free) supply of this in our cafeteria and we can't resist! It's only 100 calories! Ahh!

Kind Vanilla Blueberry Granola I prefer fruit flavors over chocolate flavors, so the blueberry granola is a perfect choice. I have to be careful so I don't eat to much of it, but it's so good and filling!

Outshine Fruit Bars I saw a commercial for these when I came back from school, and they make for the perfect mid-day summer snack or dessert. My favorite flavor (and only flavor I've tried tbh) is pineapple.

Veggie Straws I'm really trying to eat more vegetables any way I can...so I'm resorting to veggie straws! They're super low calorie for a large portion size which is awesome. I pack them in my lunch all the time.

Nothin' But Granola Cookies I'm obsessed with dried cranberries, and these mini granola cookies are packed with them! They portion size is 2 cookies, and even having one is actually super filling.

Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips My college's mini-mart just started selling individual packs of these and my best friend and I were hooked. I prefer the individual pack because then it's portion controlled...we all know if there's a full bag of chips, there's no stopping us from eating the entire thing. They're gluten free, vegan, no artificial flavors or colors, low sodium, etc etc etc.

Thomas Light English Muffins I ate these all the time when I was in high school, and just remembered how much I like them recently. They're only 100 calories like what!! Pair it with some almond butter and you're all set.
