beauty + daytime makeup

I really don't think I wear much makeup in the daytime, especially in the summer. When it's winter and I don't have my usual complete face of freckles, I'll inevitably wear a little bit more makeup so I don't look as dead. I typically have a tan from April until October, so I'm comfortable just wearing mascara and a little bit of bronzer.

Now that I've got my big girl job and I can't really wash-and-go like I would prefer in the summer, I have to put in some effort in the mornings when I'm getting ready. Here are my go-to products for a daytime makeup look.

Primer If I have dark circles in the morning, I like to use Benefit's Stay Don't Stray primer under my eyes and on my eyelids. I've found it's a super good concealer. I don't wear anything heavier on my face than a BB cream (at most), but I've started using Urban Decay's Naked Illuminating Beauty Balm. I have a crazy amount of freckles and don't like to cover them up, so I like that the beauty balm is really light.

Brows I loooove filling in my brows. It's completely changed the way I do makeup! I like to use eyeshadow to fill them in, specifically Tease in the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay. Then, I set them using Benefit's Gimme Brow.

Eyeshadow and Eyeliner I mix Foxy and Booty Call from the Naked 2 palette on my lids and Tease in my crease. I went to Benefit one day and they used the They're Real Push-Up Liner and I surprisingly loved it. I usually wear a brown pencil eyeliner, but the Benefit liquid liner stays on much longer and makes my eyes really pop.

Mascara I have an unreal obsession with mascara, like y'all don't even want to know how many coats I put on on a daily basis. I start with Benefit's Bad Gal Lash for a few coats and then I switch to Too Faced's Better than Sex mascara.

Finishing touches I use Too Faced's Sun Bunny bronzer, and if I'm really ambitious, I'll highlight with Booty Call from Naked 2.

What are y'alls daytime makeup routines?
